We’ll start with a 60-90 minute complimentary visit to your home.

We’ll walk though your space, talk about what you’d like to grow and eat, look at your existing or potential garden area, discuss sunlight, water, wildlife and any challenges you’re already experiencing.

We’ll also talk about how involved you’d like to be in caring for your garden.

From there, I’ll determine what your garden needs and recommend the best next steps.

$500-$800

After our consultation, I’ll create a personalized plan for your garden.

Your plan may include:

• Garden layout and use of space

• What to grow and how much

• Crop and variety selection

• Plant placement and spacing

• Soil and amendment recommendations

• Trellising and plant support options

• Water considerations

• Pest and wildlife prevention

• Succession planting

• Seasonal planting plans

• Seedling selection

When planting time arrives, I’ll return and help plant the garden with you.

We’ll lay out the plants, make sure everything is properly spaced and supported. I’ll walk you through what your new garden needs as we get it started.

Final pricing depends on the size and complexity of the garden.

Garden construction, bed filling, materials and other physical garden improvements are separate from the planning package and priced according to the work needed. Larger projects may require an outside contractor.

Each new growing season, we’ll look back at what worked well, what didn’t and what you’d like to do differently.

I’ll update your garden plan for the coming season, help select your crops and varieties, plan any changes or succession planting and return for the first planting of the year.

Because I already know your garden, it’s growing conditions and your preferences, returning client planning is offered at a lower seasonal rate.

We’ll choose varieties based on your garden, your growing conditions and what your family actually likes to eat.

We don’t have to limit your garden to the varieties I’m already growing for my regular seedling sales.

Want a particular purple tomato? A specific pepper? Something unusual you’ve always wanted to try?

With enough notice, I’m happy to grow varieties specifically for your garden!

$70/hour

After planting day (included in planning cost) you decide how much support you’d like.

Visits can be used for hands on garden care, education or both.

I can help with pruning and trellising, fertilizing, pest management, succession planting, troubleshooting, harvesting, seasonal planting and whatever else your garden needs as the season progresses.

If you want to become a more confident gardener, I’ll teach you as we go. My goal isn’t to just tell you what to do but to help you understand your plants and learn how to care for your garden successfully.

Family members are always welcome to join us. Partners, kids, grandparents, anyone who is interested can learn and participate right alongside you.

Regular seasonal clients also receive personalized monthly garden guides with information specific to their garden and what to expect that month.
